My Promise to YouYour home is one of the biggest investments that you will make. Choosing the right home inspector for this major investment can be difficult. Unlike most professionals, you may not have the opportunity to meet me until after you hire me. Different inspectors have varying qualifications, equipment, experience, reporting methods, and yes, different pricing. One thing for sure is that a home inspection requires work, a lot of work. Ultimately a thorough inspection depends heavily on the individual inspector's own effort. If you honor me by permitting me to inspect your new home, I guarantee that I will give you my very best effort. This I promise you. John Evans Inspection Testimonials Received From Our Valued ClientsThanks John, Not only is your home inspection thorough and your years of experience obvious but your thermal inspection takes the cake! You found something that will save me hundreds of dollars in heating costs that the current owner didn't know about. The heating duct was just blowing into the attic and the only way to discover that was through the thermal inspection. I will always do a thermal inspection for any house I buy in the future and of course I will be calling you to do it.
Thanks,
Brad
Dear John:
John, I am very impressed with the quality and thorough nature of your report. The tagged pictures are user friendly and prevent the reader from drawing any ambiguous interpretation. Thank you again for your professional demeanor and the excellent work you did this morning. I wish you the best and would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone I know. I will let you know when we have moved in so that you can attend our first gathering.
Sincerely,
Justin
John, Kelley and I want to take a moment to thank you for the very thorough inspection you performed on the home we purchased in Towson. You took the time to explain everything you were doing and encouraged us to watch over your shoulder throughout the process. We appreciated that you did not treat our inspection as a routine formality. It was also helpful that you pointed out things that were OK now, but would require attention in the near future. All of that alone is enough that we would recommend you to anyone purchasing or selling a home. But the incident with the furnace was especially indicative of your knowledge and thoroughness. You pointed out that there was an abnormal build-up of rust within the gas furnace. Although the furnace seemed to be operating properly, you recommended that the sellers obtain a certification by a licensed HVAC specialist. We did that and were told that the furnace was in excellent condition and that the rust was “normal” for this type of unit. When I reported this to you, your response was skeptical and you advised that if I could not get the unit replaced, I should at least obtain a home owner’s warranty. One week prior to settlement, the furnace failed. CO levels in the house were off the charts and the problem turned out to be a cracked heat exchanger. The sellers were wonderful and installed an equivalent unit completely at their expense. Aside from your qualifications, we were also impressed with your prompt response to questions and phone calls, and with the detailed inspection report. We have been in the house for a month now and are very happy with our purchase. Thank you for helping us to make an informed decision. ~ Jerry and Kelley John, ~Michelle Dear John, ~Thanks again, Dana Patti [real estate agent], ~ Tom John, Just wanted to thank you again for another fantastic home inspection.
